Farewell to our dedicated party leader and executive director

Josh Wronski, Executive Director of the Vermont Progressive Party

After nine years, Josh Wronski, the longest standing Executive Director for the Vermont Progressive Party (VPP), is moving on to work with the Vermont State Employees’ Association (VSEA). It is with gratitude and excitement that we say farewell!

During Josh’s time working with VPP, he was instrumental in creating positive, transformational change for the Party.

Some highlights include:

  • Updating the old database and transitioning to a system designed to support movement campaigns in the 21st century.  

  • Working closely with elected legislators and other Party officials.

  • Testifying during committee hearings at the Vermont State House.

  • Supporting candidates running for local and statewide offices. 

  • Working with members to double our fundraising over eight years, from 2016 to 2024, to over $100k annually.

  • Helping Progressives in Burlington win competitive council campaigns and reinvigorate our movement locally.  

These are just a few of the many things Josh accomplished in this role. Josh, his partner Annie, and their son have sacrificed in a number of ways as he served as our Party’s director over the last decade — we owe them all a debt of gratitude for that.

We will miss working with Josh in this capacity and we are so excited to see what great work he does for the world going forward.
